MAO Companion · App Privacy Policy

Your data stays yours.

The short version: MAO Companion collects nothing for us. The app stores its settings on your device, connects only to services you configure, and sends nothing to Providence Pro or anyone else.

Effective date: July 13, 2026

01What the app stores
01.1

On your device

Your app settings and the connection details for the services you add. Credentials are stored in the operating system's Keychain, encrypted by iOS/macOS. All of it stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

01.2

On services you choose

The app displays and manages data that lives on infrastructure you control or choose to connect to. That data is governed by you (and by the operator of any service you connect), not by this app.

01.3

With Providence Pro

Nothing. The app has no Providence Pro account system, sends us no telemetry, and phones home to no one. We cannot see your connections, your content, or your usage.

02What the app doesn't do
  • No third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs
  • No ads, no tracking, no fingerprinting
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of any data — we hold none to sell
  • No access to contacts, photos, location, or microphone unless a feature you invoke explicitly requests it, and never in the background
  • No data collection from children; the app is a professional tool not directed at children under 13

Apple's own services: if you install through the App Store or TestFlight, Apple provides us aggregate, anonymized install and crash statistics under Apple's privacy policy. That is Apple's collection, not the app's — we receive nothing identifiable.

03Network connections
03.1

Only where you point it

MAO Companion makes network connections only to the addresses you enter, encrypted in transit. It contacts nothing else.

03.2

Their logs are yours

Like any client, the app's requests appear in the logs of the services you connect to. Those services — and their logs — belong to you or to whoever operates them.

04Your choices & contact

Delete the app and its on-device data is gone. Remove a saved connection and its stored credentials are deleted from the Keychain. Data on services you connect is yours to manage there directly.

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
